Dietzold Fabrik, Leipzig (2015)

As the second edition was held in 2015, If Paradise Is Half As Nice #5 took place at the Dietzold factory, a former fur factory located at Franz-Flemming-Strasse in Leipzig, Germany. With the support from the owners of the building, the group was able to work and temporarily live onsite at the factory for a period of five weeks. The participating artists were Daan Botlek, Pim Palsgraaf, Willem Besselink, Jordy Walker, Onno Poiesz, Toine Klaassen, Regina Kelaita, Janne Eraker and Sebastian Weber. At the closing event Guus Vreeburg gave a lecture that contextualised the project in relation to the history of the building. Aantigen (Aaron Their) was the DJ providing fantastic music for the closing event, which saw an estimated 600 people attend to celebrate and take in the various artworks and performances.

Exhibition: September 3–6, 2015. Participants: Daan Botlek, Pim Palsgraaf, Willem Besselink, Jordy Walker, Onno Poiesz, Toine Klaassen, Regina Kelaita, Janne Eraker + Sebastian Weber (artists), Guus Vreeburg (lectures), Aantigen (dj).
